After Delivery: What to Do Next

Your car has arrived. Now what? Here's your complete post-delivery checklist, from a final inspection to leaving a review, referring a friend, and booking your return trip.

Your Post-Delivery Checklist

Immediately After Delivery

  • Complete the final vehicle inspection with the driver before signing anything. Walk around the full vehicle and compare to your pickup BOL and photos.
  • Note any new damage on the delivery BOL before signing, this is critical for any damage claim.
  • Sign the delivery Bill of Lading once you're satisfied with the condition.
  • Make final payment (Cash Saver customers): cash, cashier's check, or Zelle/Venmo to the driver.
  • Take final photos of the vehicle at delivery, even if there's no damage. Date-stamped photos prove delivery condition.
  • Get the driver's contact info in case you notice something within the next 24 hours.

Within 24 Hours

  • Check for any damage in full daylight if delivery was at night or in poor conditions.
  • Report any damage immediately to Web Auto Transport at (760) 932-2886) or info@webautotransport.com. Include your photos and signed BOLs.
  • Check the odometer. It should be within 3-5 miles of the reading at pickup. If it's significantly higher, contact us.
  • Inspect the interior for anything moved or disturbed.
  • Check tire pressure. It may have shifted during transport.

After You've Settled In

  • Leave a review. Your experience helps future shippers choose confidently. We'd love a Google review, Trustpilot rating, or a BBB recommendation. If something went wrong, tell us first, we want the chance to make it right.
  • Refer a friend. Know someone who's moving or buying a car online? Share your experience. See Refer a Friend for how our referral program works.
  • Book your return trip if you're a snowbird or seasonal shipper. Booking your spring return while prices are lower in winter saves you money.

If You Found Damage

Here's what to do:

  1. Note it on the delivery BOL before signing (if you catch it in time)
  2. Photograph the damage immediately, with context and close-up shots
  3. Contact us within 24 hours at (760) 932-2886 or support@webautotransport.com
  4. Get a repair estimate from a licensed auto body shop
  5. We will initiate the claims process with the carrier's insurance on your behalf

How to Leave a Review

Your review matters, both for helping us improve and for helping first-time shippers make a confident decision. Here's where to leave one:

Even a few sentences about your experience makes a real difference.

Planning Your Next Shipment

Round-trip snowbird? Book your spring return in January or February, before the March–May northbound surge.

Seasonal shipper? Save your carrier and route preferences with your logistics coordinator for faster booking next time.

Shipping another vehicle? Multi-car discounts apply even across separate orders in the same household or business.

Q&A

Q: What if I notice damage 2 days after delivery?

Contact us immediately at (760) 932-2886. The sooner you report it, the stronger your case. Take photos right away and compare them to your pickup BOL.

Q: My car won't start after delivery. What do I do?

This is usually a battery issue from transport (sentry mode on an EV, or a marginal battery that drained slightly). Try a jump start. If the issue persists, contact us and we'll assist in determining whether it's transport-related.

Q: Can I change my delivery address after the car has arrived somewhere else?

If the vehicle has already been delivered, a new shipment would need to be booked. Contact us and we'll make it as smooth as possible.

Q: How do I book my return trip?

Call (760) 932-2886, use LiveChat, or use the quote form at webautotransport.com. Mention you're a return customer and we'll have your vehicle and address history on file.

We're here even after delivery. Call (760) 932-2886, use LiveChat, or email info@webautotransport.com for anything post-delivery.
