Your Car Shipped. A Tree Planted. Web Auto Transport's Sustainability Commitment

Web Auto Transport plants a tree for every shipment. No extra charge, no greenwashing. Learn about our reforestation partnerships, smarter routing, EV commitment, and why we believe there is no Planet B.

Shipping a car doesn't have to mean turning your back on the environment.

That's not a marketing line. It's a decision we made early and built into how we operate, because we genuinely believe that a modern logistics company has a responsibility to do better than just move things from point A to point B.

The Promise: One Tree for Every Shipment

Every month, we count every vehicle we shipped. Then we plant that many trees.

Not carbon credits. Not a donation to a vague offset fund. Actual trees, in the ground, in places that need them.

We partner with One Tree Planted and the National Forest Foundation, two of the most rigorously vetted reforestation organizations in the country. Our trees go where they're needed most: into areas scorched by California wildfires, into ecosystems being rewilded in the American Southeast, into the forests that absorb the emissions our industry produces.

You don't pay extra for this. It's included in every shipment, full stop.

Why We Did This

Most people don't think about emissions when they book a car shipment. That's understandable. You're thinking about logistics, timing, your move, your new home. But the truth is that vehicle transport, like every form of freight, leaves a footprint.

A diesel truck hauling nine cars across the country burns real fuel. That's real carbon. We're not going to pretend otherwise.

What we can say, and this matters, is that one truck hauling 7 to 9 vehicles produces dramatically less CO₂ per vehicle than 7 to 9 people each driving their own cars. Auto transport is already more efficient than the alternative. We wanted to go further.

Because there is no Planet B.

How We Give Back to the Planet

Reforestation: Trees Where They're Needed Most

Every month, we calculate total completed shipments and plant that exact number of trees through our certified reforestation partners. Our planting targets active restoration areas:

  • California: Post-wildfire reforestation in areas devastated by the Camp Fire, Dixie Fire, and others. Replanting native species that restore wildlife corridors and reduce future fire risk.
  • American Southeast: Rewilding projects restoring longleaf pine ecosystems, wetlands, and hardwood forests that support biodiversity across Georgia, the Carolinas, and Florida.

We track this. We publish the impact data annually. You can ask us for it.

Smarter Routes, Fewer Miles

Emissions reduction isn't just about offsets, it starts with generating fewer emissions in the first place. Our logistics system actively reduces deadhead miles (empty truck miles) by pairing your shipment with nearby loads heading the same direction.

Less backtracking. Fewer solo runs. Lower fuel burn. Better for the environment, and because fuel is the single largest operating cost in trucking, often better for your price too.

Fuel-Efficient Carrier Prioritization

When we vet and select carriers, their safety record comes first. But fleet maintenance and fuel efficiency matter too. Well-maintained engines burn cleaner. We don't knowingly assign aging, poorly maintained equipment to your vehicle or to our planet.

Supporting EV Owners and the Clean Transport Shift

More of our customers than ever are shipping electric vehicles. Teslas, Rivians, Lucid Airs, BMW i-series, Ford Mustang Mach-Es. We think that's worth supporting actively, not just accommodating.

We offer custom EV transport solutions including enclosed carriers, liftgate loading, and charger-friendly delivery coordination. Every EV on the road is part of a cleaner future. We want to make it easier to get them there.

Education, Not Just Offsets

Sustainability isn't a checkbox. We share practical tips with customers on how to reduce the environmental impact of their own move: lightening vehicle loads, planning ahead to avoid expedited shipping, choosing flexible pickup windows that allow smarter carrier routing.

Small decisions add up.

Real Impact, Not Just Buzzwords

We know "eco-friendly" gets thrown around until it loses all meaning. So here's what we actually do, plainly stated:

  • Partner with One Tree Planted, not generic offset brokers
  • Calculate and plant trees monthly, tied to actual shipment volume
  • Work exclusively with FMCSA-verified carriers who meet strict compliance and maintenance standards
  • Prioritize shared-route planning to reduce solo carrier runs
  • Invest in logistics technology that reduces unnecessary miles

We don't have all the answers. No logistics company does. But we're committed to doing better every year, and being honest with you about where we are and where we're going.

Our Values: Quality, Teamwork & Sustainability

Sustainability isn't a department at Web Auto Transport. It's one of three things we believe a company has to get right to be worth anything: quality work, genuine teamwork, and a commitment to leaving the world better than you found it.

Those three things reinforce each other. A company that cuts corners on quality cuts corners on everything. A company that doesn't work as a team produces inconsistent results. And a company that ignores its environmental impact has already decided that short-term profit matters more than long-term accountability.

We chose differently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you charge extra for the tree planting or carbon offset program?

No. It's included in every shipment at no additional cost to you.

Q: Where exactly are the trees planted?

Currently through certified projects in California (post-wildfire reforestation) and the American Southeast (rewilding and longleaf pine restoration). Specific project locations are updated annually.

Q: Do you offer hybrid or electric carrier options?

The commercial car hauling industry is still predominantly diesel-powered at scale. We prioritize well-maintained, fuel-efficient fleets and support EV adoption at the shipper level. As greener carrier options become commercially viable, we'll integrate them.

Q: Is shipping a car really better for the environment than driving it?

For moves over 800 miles, yes, significantly. One carrier hauling 7-9 cars produces a fraction of the per-vehicle CO₂ compared to each driver making the trip individually. Add our reforestation program and your shipment is doing more good than you might think.

Q: How do you verify the reforestation partners are legitimate?

One Tree Planted and the National Forest Foundation are among the most transparently operated and independently audited reforestation nonprofits in the United States. Both publish detailed project reports and planting data publicly.
